BLUE FLAGS: HERE ARE THE AWARD-WINNING BEACHES IN ABRUZZO

The Fee has awarded the important recognition to 8 localities of Abruzzo. 

The long and varied coast of Abruzzo, where there are alternating large golden sandy beaches and cliffs, promontories and superb coves, lively and festive beaches and solitary shores where basking in the sun, is also adorned with precious pearls: are the coastal centres that pride themselves on their traditions with their characteristic sounds and colours, which make each one unique and inimitable.

In 2017, Abruzzo won 8 blue flags. The important award, awarded by the Fee-Foundation for Environmental Education, is given to localities that exceed the strict predefined parameters regarding water quality, services and safety measures, environmental education and management.

The towns of Abruzzo where the blue flag will fly: 

Province of Teramo: -Tortoreto, Spiaggia del Sole; - Giulianova, Split Seafront, Zadar Seafront; - Roseto degli Abruzzi, South Seafront, North Seafront, Central Seafront; - Pinewood, Pine grove, Pine Waterfront, Pineta Catucci, S. Mt.Maria a Valle Nord, S. Maria a Valle Sud, Torre Cerrano, Corfu, Villa Fumosa; -Silvi, Lungare Centrale.

Province of Chieti: - Fossacesia Marina; - Vasto, Punta Penna, Vignola; -San Salvo Marina

As far as the landing places are concerned, the Blue Flag at the Marina di Pescara has been confirmed.
