Between the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise, and the Sirente-Velino Regional Park, in an evocative and almost uncontaminated nature, stands Pescina, an ancient village that tells, with the urbanism and the architecture of its historical center, the medieval influences still visible. If the remains of the ancient Cyclopean walls tell of prehistoric settlements, the most recent history is enclosed in a symbol: the Tower that dominates the center and that rises from the remains of the old castle of "Rocca Vecchia" which belonged to the Piccolomini family. But there is also another tower that fascinates those who admire it and it is the Tower of Venus of the Marsi, dating back to the thirteenth century. As in many small jewels of art and spirituality, numerous churches dot the historical center, to be crossed, getting lost in the details of this beauty.
