The most important day in March is the one dedicated to “San Giuseppe” (19 March), which in Italy is also Father’s Day. An ancient ritual linked to this celebration is the one of the Saint Joseph's tables held in Monteferrante. In the past the well-off families offered typical dishes and seasonal products to the poorer members of the village. Today the tables are prepared in the village’s restaurants and the local community and visitors take part in this celebration of conviviality and sharing.
